InvestingCatholic is an SEC Registered Investment Adviser, founded by Catholic Advisers specifically to address the investing needs of Catholics, and anyone who shares our values. We are a fee-only fiduciary adviser with a focus on providing our clients with globally diversified, investment model portfolios “Folios” screened for Catholic values. Our Advisers understand the importance and the moral responsibility that we have as Catholics to invest according to our moral values and beliefs. Investing in a responsible manner has an impact that reaches beyond ourselves out into our community and society to promote the common good of all.
Our advisers carefully screen all investments for Catholic values, as defined by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Investment Guidelines. The Church teaches that we are called to further God’s kingdom and to witness to our faith in the world. The Second Vatican Council taught that “the laity are called in a special way to make the Church present and operative in those places and circumstances where only through them can it become the salt of the earth. Thus every layman, in virtue of the very gifts bestowed upon him, is at the same time a witness and a living instrument of the mission of the Church itself ‘according to the measure of Christ’s bestowal’”. (Lumen Gentium, #33) We are all called to be “salt of the earth” and this should resonate in all of our decisions, including how and where we invest our financial resources. Investing according to our Catholic conscience is the way we can incorporate our faith in our financial life.
